Beach notes: Belek has excellent sandy beach resorts. Side and Alanya have a mix of sandy and some pebbly areas. The sea is calm and warm from May to October.
Journey tips: 4.5-hour flight. Transfers to Belek are straightforward motorway. Side and Alanya involve longer transfers (1.5hrs+) on twisty roads — take travel sickness tablets for those prone.
